To use a media card with a capacity greater than 32 GB, you must download the Microsoft exFAT Technologydriver for
BlackBerry. A notification appears when you insert the media card into your device. Make sure that you are connected to
the Internet, and then tap the notification to download the driver.
Delete the data from your media card
To help protect your privacy, you can permanently delete all of the data on your media card. Depending on the amount of
data, this process might take some time.
CAUTION: After you wipe your media card, you can't recover any of the deleted data.
1.
Make sure that your device isn't connected to a computer.
2.
Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two fingers, or twice using one finger.
3.
Tap
> Storage.
4.
In the SD card section, tap Erase SD card > Erase SD card.
Note: When you delete the data from your media card, the media card is automatically formatted.
Remove a media card
1.
Do one of the following:
Turn off your device.
Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two fingers, or twice using one finger.
2.
Tap
> Storage > Unmount SD card.
3.
With your device facing downwards, push the tip of the tool (provided with your device) into the hole on the top-left
of your device to release the media card tray. If you don't have the tool that came with your device, you can also use
a paper clip.
