Change your search settings
If you know the type of file that you're looking for or the category that you want to search, you can specify which categories
to include in searches. For example, if you are looking for a song, you can clear all categories except Music.

In the BlackBerry Device Search app, tap

To choose which categories to include in searches, select or clear the checkboxes.

Tap OK.
Tip: The Extended Search category searches Internet results, cloud apps such as Google Drive
on your device, and more.
Do more with your search results
There are a variety of actions you can perform with items in your search results right in the search results screen. The
actions available to you depend on the type of item. For example, if one of the search results is an app, you can open the
app directly from the search results screen.

Press and hold a search result.

If necessary, tap an action.
Stop saving your search history
By default, your device keeps the last 20 search results that you visit for quick reference and reuse. If you don't want to
save your usage history, you can turn off this feature.

In the BlackBerry Device Search app, tap

Turn off the Save search history switch.
Tip: To delete an individual search result, swipe left or right on the result. To clear all of your search history permanently,
tap Clear search history and then tap OK.
