Using the Blender Attachment

A. Fitting the Glass Jar & Blade Assembly
n Turn the glass jar upside down and place it flat on a
sturdy surface
n Position the rubber gasket on the round opening on the
bottom of the glass jar
n Turn the blade assembly upside down and place through
the opening of the glass jar, the blades should now be
inside the glass jar
n Secure the rubber gasket and blade assembly into
position by placing the smaller opening of the locking
collar on top of the blade assembly. To lock, twist the
locking collar in a clockwise direction until it is firmly in
place. Once assembled, turn the glass jar right side up
N.B. Take extra care when handling the blade assembly as they are very sharp
n Push the lid onto the glass jar and fit the measuring cap into the lid
N.B. The lid should always be in place while the unit is switched on
n Place the housing base on a flat, dry, sturdy surface and position the complete jar
unit on the motor housing so that the jar markings are facing you and the handle is
positioned to one side.
n Plug the appliance into a suitable mains outlet, the Blender is now ready to use
B Removing the Jar & Blade Assembly
n Switch the appliance off and unplug from the mains outlet
n Lift the complete glass jar up and away from the housing base
N.B Never twist the glass jar when removing it from the housing unit, lift the complete
glass jar directly upwards
n Remove the lid and measuring cap and carefully pour out the contents of the glass jar
n Turn the jar unit upside down and place on a flat sturdy surface. Twist the locking collar
in an anti –clockwise direction to loosen and lift away from the glass jar
n Carefully remove the blade assembly by holding the edges of the plastic disc and lift
up, away from the glass jar
n Remove the rubber seal
N.B Take care not to misplace the rubber seal as the glass jar will not seal properly
without it
