56 MAINTENANCE
WARNING
The operations described below shall always be
performed with the boiler and the power supply switch off.
The boiler front panel has to be removed to access the
various devices to be maintained and checked.

Slide the front panel up and pull forwards.
Cleaning the Casing Material
Use a soapy solution and sponge only. Rinse with clean
water and dry with chamois leather or soft cloth.
57 CLEANING THE FLUEWAY
1. Close off the fuel supply to the burner.
2. Ensure that the boiler has been cooled to ambient
temperature.
3. Isolate the mains supply to the boiler and burner.
4. Disconnect the cable and supply pipe to the burner.
5. Open the combustion chamber and flue way doors by
removing the 8 nuts.
6. Remove the flue way baffles.
7. Thoroughly clean the flue ways and baffles.
8. Remove the rear cleanout covers by undoing the 4 wingnuts
and dispose of the debris/soot that may have accumulated.
9. Replace the rear cleanout covers after
first inspecting and if necessary
replacing the seal.
10. Brush out the combustion
chamber and vacuum the soot
from beneath the flue ways.
11. Replace the flue baffles into the
flue ways (refer to Frames 24 and
25 for number and location).
12. Check the condition of the
combustion chamber door
insulation and replace if
necessary.
13. Check the condition of the
combustion chamber door seal
and replace if necessary.
14. Refer to the burner manufacturer's
Instructions for burner
maintenance.
