Remove and replace the lamp housing

The lamp housing (505-0858-xx) fastens to the metal portion of the optical engine. It holds the lamp in
place. The thermal switch, interlock switch, lamp fan, and lamp blower all fasten to the lamp housing. A
lamp housing is included with a new optical engine.
1 Remove the chassis and power supply (see page 39).
2 Remove the optical engine (see page 60).
3 Place the engine on a clean, static-free work surface.
4 Remove the lamp fan (page 47), lamp blower (page 49), safety switch assembly (page 58), and
lamp module (page 13) from the lamp housing.
5 Remove the lamp blower gasket from the lamp housing.
6 Remove the M3x8 Torx screw that fastens the lamp housing to the engine.
