Insert the plug of the
power cord into a prop-
erly installed mains
socket - the vacuum
cleaner must be shut
off when plugging in
the power cord.
COLLECTING PROPEL-
LANT CHARGE POW-
DER RESIDUES
Before collecting the
propellant charge powder
residues, ensure that the
filter element is mounted.
For the Order No. . . . . ð see
"Specifications".
If the air flow rate drops to
under 20 m/s during the
operation of the cleaner, an
audible warning signal will
sound for safety reasons ð
also see "Troubleshoot-
ing".
CAUTION!
In case of foam or liquid
leaks, shut the cleaner off
at once.
NOTE!
Clean the water level
monitoring device in the
tank regularly and inspect
for signs of damage.

FUNCTIONAL CHECK

Before switching the va-
cuum cleaner on, check if:
?
water is filled into the
tank of the cleaner and
foam killer was added,
12
?
the filter element is
installed in the top part
of the cleaner,
?
the operating voltage
and mains voltage are
identical,
?
the vacuum cleaner is
protected with the
specified mains circuit
breaker.
TURNING THE VACUUM
ON
Set the on-off switch
(Fig. 5/1) to position
"I".
Set the suction regu-
lator knob (Fig. 5 /2) to
the "hare" position.
To check the flow moni-
toring:
With the motor run-
ning, close off the clea-
ner suction hose by
covering the hose end
with the hand: an
audible warning signal
will sound after approx.
10 seconds.
If no signal is audible,
contact your authorised
after-sales service.
CAUTION!
If the vacuum is to be
cleaned or repaired espe-
cially after having been out
of operation for a time,
friction-sensitive explosive
crusts must be reckoned
with, which can only be
removed after being mois-
tened.
NOTE!
A qualified person in the
sense of the Explosives Act
must be given the task of
vacuuming in enclosed
firing stands. This person
should have written work
instructions for employees
in which a regular cleaning
of the premises is described
in such a way that the
maximum amount of 50 g
of propellant charge pow-
der can not be exceeded
when firing is taking place.
The staff using the vacuum
cleaner must be instructed
in handling propellant
charge powder residues.

WHILE CLEANING

NOTE!
During vacuuming, the suc-
tion power can be adjusted
precisely to the required
suction tasks with the
suction regulator knob (Fig.
5/2).
In case of problems dur-
