CUSTOMER INFORMATION - IMPORTANT POINTS

Before installing this product, please read this manual carefully.
Unpack the heater and check for damage. DO NOT INSTALL DAMAGED HEATER.
If the heater is damaged, contact your supplier for advice. Before installing the heater,
check the label for the correct gas type (see rating plate, front right hand side of
bottom panel). Refer to local gas authority for confirmation of the gas type if you are
in doubt.

Customer operation information, roll of sealing foam, ceramic log set and granules.
IMPORTANT
Before using this product, please read this manual carefully to make sure of proper
use of the product.
The user shall be advised that appliances incorporating a live fuel effect, and designed
to operate with luminous flames, may exhibit slight carbon deposits.
1. The appliance must be installed in accordance
with the local gas and electrical authority
regulations.
2. For information on gas consumption, see data
plate on the appliance.
3. Ensure that the area in which the appliance is
installed has adequate fixed ventilation, this
fixed ventilation must be provided as per
AS5601.
4. DO NOT connect to an LPG/Propane Gas
cylinder indoors.
5. This appliance must not be installed where
curtains or other combustible materials could
come into contact with it. In some cases
curtains may need restraining.
6. This appliance is not designed to be built
directly into a combustible opening.
7. Heater must not be located below a power
socket-outlet.
8. The local gas and electrical authorities will be
able to advise on local regulations.
9. Heat emanating from the front of this appliance
may over time affect the appearance of some
materials used for flooring such as carpet, vinyl,
cork or timber. This effect may be amplified if
the air in the room contains cooking vapours or
cigarette smoke. To avoid this possibility, it is
recommended that a mat be placed in front of
the appliance, extending at least 750 mm in
front of it.
10. The appliance is not intended for use by young
children or infirm persons without supervision.
11. Young children should be supervised to ensure
they do not play with the appliance.
12. If the supply cord, gas hose or glass are
damaged or require replacing, they must be
replaced by the manufacturer or the
IBF - Slimfire 25
manufacturers agent or similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
13. Do not allow articles to be posted through the
louvres or openings.
14. Do not spray aerosols near this heater whilst it
is in use. Most aerosols contain butane gas
which can be a fire hazard if used near this
heater when in use. Use of aerosols, paint,
polishes etc whilst this heater is in use may
cause unpleasant smells.
15. Do not operate/install this heater in places
where painting is taking place, or in places
such as hair dressing salons, where there may
be a lot of fluff and dust, and where aerosols
are used.
16. Do not unplug the heater while it is still in
operation or the fan is operating.
17. Do not turn off heater by unplugging it at the
wall.
18. Do not place articles on or against this
appliance.
19. Do not place clothes racks etc. directly in front
of the heater.
20. Do not store flammable materials near the
heater. Combustible materials must not be
allowed where the heater could ignite them.
21. The heater may emit smoke when first started
which may take up to 2 Hours to disappear.
This is part of the burning in process and
normal, ensure adequate ventilation during
this period.
22. The guard is fitted to this appliance to reduce
the risk of fire or injury from burns and no part
of it should be permanently removed, for
protection of young children or the infirm, this
secondary guard is required.
