Removing the drain hose
Remove the screw at the left of
drain hose and pull out drain hose.

• Please hold around the joint of the drain hose during work.
• As the screw is inside, be sure to use screwdrivers treated with magnet.
• For left piping and left rear piping, align the marks on the wall hook bracket and shape the
connection pipe.
• Bend the connection piping at a bend radius of 70 mm or more and install no more than
35 mm from the wall.
• After passing the indoor piping and drain hose through the wall hole, hang the indoor unit on
the hooks at the top and bottom of the wall hook bracket.
[Installing the indoor unit]
• H ang the indoor unit from the hooks at the top of the wall hook bracket.
• I nsert the spacer, etc. between the indoor unit and the wall hook bracket and separate
the bottom of the indoor unit from the wall.

• A fter hooking the indoor unit to the top hook, hook the fi ttings of the indoor unit to the 2
bottom hooks while lowering the unit and pushing it against the wall.
6.9. Connecting the pipe
Tighten the nut with a torque wrench as specifi ed. Overtightened nut could break
after a prolonged period, and may cause a refrigerant leakage. If the leaking refriger-
ant is exposed to a direct fl ame, it may produce a toxic gas.
Hold the torque wrench at its grip, keeping it in the right angle with the pipe, in order
to tighten the nut correctly.
Connect the piping so that the control box cover can easily be removed for servicing.
To prevent in fl owing of water to the control box, make sure that the piping is properly
insulated.
6.9.1. Check the surface of the connection piping, the end face
Use special pipe cutter.
(1) Cut the connection pipe to the necessary length with a pipe cutter.
(2) Hold the pipe downward so that cuttings will not enter the pipe and remove any burrs.
(3) Protect the pipes by pinching them or with tape to prevent dust, dirt, or water from
entering the pipes.
Do not use the connecting pipe as-is if there are any fl aws as described below within
30mm from the tip of the pipe.
- T here are scratches or dents on the outer perimeter (Excluding marks made by pipe
cutters).
-Is deformed or bent.
In such case, cut the pipe vertically with a pipe cutter and deburr the edges.

Installing the drain hose
Vertically insert the drain hose toward the
inside, so that the drain fi xture (white) can ac-
curately align with the screw hole around the
drain cock.
After inserting and before replacing, please

6.9.2. Bending pipes
• The pipes are shaped by your hands. Be careful not to collapse them.
• Do not bend the pipes in an angle more than 90°
• W hen pipes are repeatedly bent or stretched, the material will harden, making it diffi cult
to bend or stretch them any more.
• Do not bend or stretch the pipes more than 3 times.
CAUTION
To prevent breaking of the pipe, avoid sharp bends.
Bend the pipe with a radius of curvature of 100 mm to 150 mm.
If the pipe is bent repeatedly at one point, it will break.
6.9.3. Pipe connection
CAUTION
Do not remove the tightening nut and fi xing nut that are attached to the indoor unit.
(image below) (the interior O-ring has been removed)
If the fl are less joint nut assy has been loosened after it has been completely tight-
ened, replace with a new fl are less joint nut assy.
When removing the piping to relocate or repair the unit, replace with a new fl are less
joint nut assy.

and outdoor unit refrigerant to the on-site is not available.
6.9.4. The method of tightening
Step.1 Mark the margin around the connection pipe for inserting into the fl are less
joint nut assy.

Step.2 Peel off the seal on the tightening nut.
Step.3 Insert the connection pipe into the joint (indoor unit pipe).
(If the connection pipe cannot be inserted, loosen the tightening nut by half a turn.)
Point : I nsert the connection pipe until it comes in contact with the joint (Indoor unit pipe).
Step.4 Fasten the tightening nut by hand for temporary fi xing.

Point : B y fastening the tightening nut, the O-ring will fi x the connection pipe temporarily.
If the insert margin marking is visible when the tightening nut is temporarily fas-
tened, insert the connection pipe until it comes in contact with the joint (indoor unit
pipe). (see STEP.6)
Step.5 Tighten the tightening not by holding the body side coupling with a wrench,
then tighten with a torque wrench. (See the table below for the tightening nut
tightening torques.)
