4-3. Refrigerant Piping Work

4-3-1 The method of tightening

Do not remove the tightening nut and fixing nut that are attached to the indoor unit.
(image below) (the interior O-ring has been removed)
If the fl are less joint nut assy has been loosened after it has been completely tightened,
replace with a new fl are less joint nut assy.
When removing the piping to relocate or repair the unit, replace with a new fl are less
joint nut assy.

Step-1. Mark the margin around the connection pipe

Mark the margin around the connection pipe
for inserting into the flare less joint nut assy.
Connection pipe dia. [mm (in.)]
6.35 (1/4) dia.
9.52 (3/8) dia.
Step-2. Peel off the seal
Peel off the seal on the tightening nut.
CAUTION
Guard Tightening nut
(hexagon)
Fixing nut (circular)
(Guard covers the fixing nut)
