4.13. Barcodes

Printing of barcodes can be accomplished using any of three methods. The preferred method is to print
barcodes using control codes by programming directly to the printer. The second method is to print
barcodes using the embedded printer font for the barcode. The final method is to print barcodes using a
barcode font that resides on the host PC. Printing via control codes or using the embedded printer font
offers the best and most consistent quality and legibility. Printing barcodes using barcode fonts
(typically TrueType Fonts) can produce lackluster results if not configured properly.
When printing barcodes, the following settings can be applied to modify the appearance of the printed
barcode.
