4.9. Seral Port (Star Serial Port Emulator)

This function generates a virtual serial port (COM port).
Using this function allows you to use the TSP100U/TSP100PU/TSP100GT/TSP100ECO with the USB
interface equipped or the TSP100LAN/TSP100IIIW/TSP100IIILAN with the Ethernet interface
equipped using applications for a serial printer.
Print data must be sent to a virtual serial port on a one-document basis. If print data is divided into
many parts for sending, the print speed will slow down compared to when sending on a one-document
basis. This specification has been changed from version 5.0.
To use an ETB command in a virtual serial port, set "Automatic Retry" to "Disabled" in General
Settings. For more information, refer to "4.3.2 General Settings".
When activated in the Star Line mode, the port created by clicking "Add Port" is
registered as a port in the Star Line mode. When activated in the ESC/POS mode,
the port created by clicking "Add Port" is registered as a port in the ESC/POS
mode.
