Note
The cover page settings for the post inserter paper and the tray paper can
be combined. In that case, the paper loaded in the post inserter will first
be used for the front cover page, then the paper will be used for the back
cover page.

To copy using the "Cover Mode" function

Position the original to be copied.
– For details on positioning the original, refer to "Positioning the Orig-
inal" on page 3-7.
– For an original that exceeds 100 pages, refer "Scanning a Multi-
Page Original from the Original Glass" on page 3-14 and "Scanning
the Original in Separate Batches ("Separate Scan" Setting)" on
page 3-11.

Load the paper for the cover pages and the paper for the main body of
the original into separate paper trays.
– Use paper with the same size for the cover pages and for the main
body of the original, and load them in the same orientation.

Touch [Application].
The Application screen appears.

Touch [Sheet/Cover/Chapter Insert].
