Close the document feeder left cover until it clicks into place.

If the document cannot be found, lift the document feeder slowly, and remove any
document if it is there, and then lower the document feeder.

If the document is not found in step 7, lift the
document feeder tray and remove the
document.

Gently return the document feeder tray.

Make sure that the document is not torn, wrinkled or folded, and load the document
again following the instructions displayed on the screen.

Open the document cover.

Open the chute part while gripping the
handle, and remove the jammed document.

Gently return the chute part to the original
position.

Put the document feeder back in place.
• After removing the jammed document, reload the entire document including the pages
already scanned. The machine will automatically skip the scanned pages and start scanning
unscanned pages.
• Torn, wrinkled or folded documents may cause document jams and damage. To scan such
documents, directly place the document on the document glass to make copies.
