Using Internal Mass Storage Devices

The internal mass storage devices include the media devices like the diskette drive, tape
drives and CD-ROM-2 drive and all the disk devices. After a general description on the
special capability called Hot Removability, which is valid for the media and the disk devices,
this section gives a detailed description about operator controls and how to work with the
media devices and the disk devices.
The following devices can be installed in your 7013 J Series system unit:
an 8 mm helical scan tape drive
a 1/4 Inch QIC cartridge streaming tape drive
a 4 mm DAT tape drive
a CD-ROM-2 drive to support optical disks.
The operator panel contains a 3.5-inch diskette drive.
