problem isolation is obtained by running diagnostics in service mode.

This step loads concurrent diagnostics.
1. Log on as root or as superuser.
2. Enter the diag command.
3. Wait until the words DIAGNOSTIC OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS are displayed, or wait for
three minutes.
Are the DIAGNOSTIC OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS displayed without any obvious
console display problems?

1. At the system prompt, stop the operating system.
2. After the operating system is stopped, set the power switch on the system
unit to Off.
