Using the mute control
Turning on the speakerphone
While speaking on the telephone, you may wish to use the mute
control
in order to speak to someone who is in the room with
you without being overheard by your caller.

When the call is ended, the mute is automatically de-activated.
You can turn on the speakerphone on during a telephone call.

When you replace the handset in its cradle, the speakerphone will
be turned off automatically.
