B.4.1 ACPI BIOS
ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) enables the operating system to
control the amount of power given to each device attached to the computer. Using the
Operating System (OS), ACPI can turn off peripheral devices, such as a CD-ROM drives,
when they're not in use. The default setting is
