* Even if the copier/fax is set to redial several times, it will redial only once if there is no tone or there is a ring back
tone during the first attempt.
Chapter 14
Description
Enables/disables Error Correction Mode (ECM) during
transmission.
Selects the length of the pause entered when you press
Redial/Pause.
Enables/disables automatic redialing if the other party's
line is busy on the first attempt. (1 p. 7-10)
Selects the number of redial attempts.*
Selects the period of time between redial attempts.
Enables/disables automatic scanning of documents
after the fax number is entered.
ON: Scanning begins automatically five seconds after
entering the fax number (10 seconds if sending to
multiple destinations).
OFF: Scanning does not start automatically. (You need
to press Start to begin scanning.)
Enables/disables sending of color documents to fax
machines that do not have color faxing capability. (The
document is converted to black & white.)
OFF: Color documents cannot be sent to fax machines
that do not support color faxing.
ON: Color documents can be sent to fax machines that
do not support color faxing. (The document is converted
to black & white.)
