Using One-Touch Speed Dialing

To use this feature, you must first register a number for one-touch speed dialing.

Follow this procedure to send documents using one-touch speed dialing:

Adjust the document feed lever for the
document you are loading. (2 p. 4-2)

Prepare the document and load it, face
down, in the ADF (Automatic Document
Feeder). (2 p. 4-3)
• For color sending, press Color/B&W to
turn on its light. (1 p. 7-2)
• To adjust the resolution and contrast,
see pp. 7-2, 7-4.

Press the one-touch speed dialing button
assigned to the number you wish to fax.
• The number registered under that one-touch
speed dialing button is displayed.
• If you press the wrong button, press Stop,
then press the correct button.
• If no fax number is assigned to the one-touch
speed dialing button you press, the LCD
displays NO TEL #. If this happens, make
sure you pressed the correct button and that
the number you want to dial is registered
under that button.

or wait a few seconds for the copier/fax to
begin scanning automatically.
• If you prefer the copier/fax never to scan a
document automatically after a few seconds,
disable the TIME OUT setting. (1 p. 14-5)

You can also use one-touch speed dialing to send a document to more than one
destination at a time. (1 Sequential Broadcasting, p. 7-13)
