• Dry cloths
When should ink cartridges be cleaned?
§
Before the start of a print job (run).
§
During a run, whenever the print quality becomes
unsatisfactory.
How to Clean Ink Cartridges
• Place a drop of distilled water on the edge of the TexWipe ® cloth.
• Start by placing the nose of the cartridge onto this wet area.
• Using a small amount of downward force, slowly pull the cartridge from the
wet area, across the dry area of the TexWipe ® , while slowly decreasing
the amount of downward force.
Repeat this procedure a few times. Make sure you only clean the cartridge
in one direction. Either from the front of the head to the back of the
head, or from back to front.
Storing ink cartridges
After printing, store the cartridges in a closed plastic container to avoid
the ink drying out. We recommend the use of a re-sealable container with
a damp cloth in the bottom of it. This will create a humid atmosphere. Be
sure the nozzles do not touch the cloth or the ink will be pulled (wicked)
from the cartridge.
G G
IMPORTANT! Be sure to dry the cartridge housing and contact
area (remove any moisture from it) before placing it back into the
printer or damage to the printer's electronics will result.
