Sidetone Level

On a Dummy Load try sending some code and see if the sidetone is at a comfortable level. The
MASTER VOLUME slider [upper left] is ALSO the SIDETONE LEVEL setting when you are in Transmit.

Antenna

Connect a good antenna [that is resonant on your favorite band] to ANT-1
Use the Antenna Control settings DEFAULT values until you have more experience with your new
Transceiver.

Note the Antenna Control menu allows you to control the following options:

1. Software SWR Protection will reduce power output when high SWR levels are detected.
2. Disable on Tune Pwr < 10W will disable Software SWR protection when the Tune power level is less than 10
watts. The Tune power level can be set on the Setup, Transmit tab.
3. ATT on TX. This option inserts attenuation in the receiver when the ANAN-* is transmitting. This can prevent
