Frame Masking (Masking)

Objects outside the original are erased to prevent a shadowed (black) frame from being
created on the output, i.e. when the selected paper is larger than the original.

NOTE
• This function is not effective when an image exists within 2 mm of the edge of the
original.
• Frame Masking may affect scanning depending on the density and colors of the original.
When any portion of the required image is erased, turn off Frame Masking.
Select [Masking]. The menu name is
highlighted and the function is activated.
Select [OK] to return to the main menu.
NOTE
Frame Masking must be on to turn on Finger Masking and Centering.
