User Guide Remote Stopping Device
Design & Function
General
The equipment consists of a handheld transmitter and a receiver.
The remote stopping device has been developed for remote control of various
functions and operates on a frequency of 315MHz (US version) and 433.92MHz
(EU version). The signal is frequency-modulated and the information transmitted
is coded. Its range under normal circumstances and with a clear field is up to
30m (100ft). The presence of other transmitters using the same frequency may
cause interference in reception if the other transmitter is closer to your receiver
than your transmitter. Note that only an approved radio signal (approx. 0.3s) is
required to activate the relay in the receiver.
When stopping for a lengthy period, such as when the wheelchair is parked,
the wheelchair must always be switched off at the control panel. The remote
stopping device must only be used when the wheelchair is stopped temporarily.
