4. INSTALLING THE MACHINE

Note: In the machine there may be traces of cof-
fee and/or water, these are due to the testing
conducted by the Manufacturer to guarantee maximum
product quality.
Correctly install the machine before starting it.
After removing the machine from the packaging, proceed as fol-
lows:
• Place the machine on a stable horizontal surface.
• Make sure it is not accessible to children.
• Make sure there is enough space to perform all required op-
erations (use, maintenance, etc.).
• Keep it away from hot surfaces or open fl ames; keep the
machine at a distance of approximately 15 centimetres from
other devices.
• Make sure the machine is turned off and all switches are in
OFF position.
• (Fig.1) Remove the Allen wrench from the upper side of the
machine and all the protective fi lms from the metal sheets.
It is also advisable to avoid placing the machine in spaces of tran-
sit or narrow hallways, to avoid being struck.
Before operating the machine for the fi rst time, it
is necessary to carry out a thorough cleaning of its
parts. For further details, see the related section.
We recommend keeping the packaging for future transfers or
transportation.
4.1.

Filling the Water Tank

To operate the machine, fi ll the 2 water tanks. First of all, always
make sure that the machine is off and the plug is disconnected.
Warning: To fi ll the tank always and only use
fresh drinking water, as hot water or carbon-
ated water may damage the machine. Before starting
the machine, make sure that there is always a suffi cient
quantity of water.
Note: The use of the machine without water in the tank
may aff ect the correct functioning of the machine.
• (Fig.2) - Remove the metal upper outer lid.
• (Fig.3) - Remove the 2 water tank lids.
• (Fig.4) - Remove the hoses from the inside of the tanks.
• (Fig.5) - Remove the softener fi lters from the tanks and im-
merse them in water for about 30 minutes.
Every tank contains the exact number of softener
fi lters that have to be installed later.
• (Fig.6) - After removing the hoses and the fi lters, remove
the tanks from the machine.
• (Fig.7) - Fill in the tanks with fresh drinking water.
• Insert the fi lled tanks in the machine.
• (Fig.8) - When they are ready, insert the fi lters into the
hoses (one fi lter for each hose) and then place the hoses in
the tanks.
• (Fig.3) - Place the tank lids.
• (Fig.9) - Make sure that the hoses are NOT crushed and that
no water comes out of the tanks.
• (Fig.2) - Place the upper outer lid on the machine.
Before plugging and starting the machine make
sure that all the buttons are in the OFF position.
4.2.

Electrical Connection

Warning: Electric power may be very dangerous!
It is therefore necessary to strictly follow the
safety regulations. Do not use faulty power cords.
The operating voltage of the appliance has been pre-set by the
manufacturer. Make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to
the specifi cations on the technical data plate.
Before connecting the machine to the electrical network, make
sure that all buttons are not pressed, therefore being in the OFF
position.
• Insert the other plug of the power cord into a suitable wall
socket.
Before switching on and using the machine,
check that the drip tray is fully inserted into its
seat. Warning! An incorrect placement of the tray may
cause spilling of the discharge water on the set.
