When sending color faxes, selecting <FINE> has the same effect as selecting <PHOTO>.

Adjusting the Scan Contrast
Contrast is the degree of difference between light and dark. Increasing the contrast setting
further blackens dark areas and whitens bright areas. Whereas decreasing the contrast setting
reduces the difference between bright and dark areas. You can adjust the contrast between
three gradations.

Press [FAX], then press [Exposure].

Pressing

decreases the density, and pressing

increases the density.

There are three methods of sending faxes:
• Memory sending
• Manual sending
• Sending from your computer

Sending from Your Machine (Memory Sending)

Load the document on the Platen Glass or in the ADF.

When sending a double-sided document, set the document on the Platen Glass. You cannot
scan double-sided document from the ADF.
