Messages
There are two types of messages available in the DT390 phone:
Manual Message Waiting (MMW), see Manual Message Waiting
(MMW) on page 74.
Voice Mail, see Voice Mail (Optional) on page 75.
Note: If you receive a message during an ongoing call, you are notified
by a beep. The new message icon that appears will remain in the
display until all new messages are opened.

Manual Message Waiting (MMW)

The Manual Message Waiting (MMW) feature enables you to send and
receive message waiting signals when the line is busy
MMW allows you to send a message waiting signal to an extension
that does not answer when you call (if this feature is allowed, this is
set by the system administrator).
MMW allows you to receive a message waiting signal from
someone who has tried to contact you.
Answering a Manual Message Waiting
If there is a message waiting for you, you will hear a special dial tone,
and the following message is displayed:
View now?
To answer a message waiting, do the following:
1.
Press Yes to open the mailbox (or No to check the message later).
The icon
have a new voice mail message. Call to listen to
the message.
2.
Press Call.
A call is initiated to the extension that requested the MMW.
Ordering an MMW Indication
To order a MMW indication to another extension, do the following:
