Scan function
This function detects data and programs
that are imported to the FOMA terminal, and
then deletes or stops activating ones that
could cause operational malfunctions.
The scan function helps to protect the handset
from damage caused by data such as data
received from websites or mails. If the pattern
definitions corresponding to respective
malfunctions are not downloaded or they do not
exist, the scan function will not be able to protect
the FOMA terminal.

Updating pattern definitions
First, update pattern definitions to bring
them up-to-date.
In the Normal menu,
[Lock/Security]/[Scanning
function]/[Update]
[Yes]/[Yes]
[OK] when updating is completed
Displaying scan results
If you select [Detail] in the
warning screen, error names
appear. When no error name
exists for the contents of the
pattern data, [Detail] does not
appear.
Up to five error names
appear. Error names after the sixth are skipped
and the total number of errors appears when six
or more are detected. If same error is detected
more than once, it is only listed once.
