i-channel

※ The i-channel service is provided in Japanese.
i-channel is a service that sends news,
weather and other information to i-channel
compatible handsets. The latest information
received automatically is displayed in the
stand-by display as a ticker. Additionally,
press c (J) to display the latest
information in a list of channels.
i-channel is a paid service that requires a
subscription (i-mode agreement is required
for the subscription).
i-channel has "ベーシックチャネル" (Basic
Channel) provided by DOCOMO and "おこの
みチャネル" (Okonomi (Optional) Channel)
provided by IP (Information Providers).
Packet communication charges for
automatically updating information provided
by "Basic Channel" are not incurred. Packet
communication charges for automatically
updating information provided by "Okonomi
(Optional) Channel" that enables you to
register your favorite channels and use
them are incurred separately. Note that
packet communication charges are incurred
separately when detailed information are
viewed in both "Basic Channel" and
"Okonomi (Optional) Channel".
Packet communication charges are incurred
for automatically updating information and
viewing detailed information during
international roaming.

Select a channel
Setting i-channel display
Set whether to display i-channel ticker in the
stand-by display and sub display.

In the Normal menu, [i-mode/
web]/[i-Channel]/[Ticker display
set.]

Select the display destination of
ticker/set each item/C
If [Main display] is selected, the sample of a
ticker appears at the lower part of the
display.
