Flow of setup for data communication

This section describes the preparation to use a packet communication and 64K data
communication. The flow is as shown below.
Install the "FOMA communication configuration file" (Driver)
Download and install the "FOMA communication configuration file" (Driver) from the DOCOMO website (nP. 6)
Connect up PC to the FOMA terminal using FOMA USB Cable with Charge Function 02 (sold separately)
Download and install "DOCOMO Connection
Manager" from the DOCOMO website
(nP. 10 to P. 14)
Use the broadband connection, etc. compatible "mopera U" (subscription necessary) for the convenient use of
Internet with the FOMA terminal. There is a plan that only charges for months which the service was used.
Set USB mode of the FOMA terminal to [Communication mode] for data communication using USB connection.
FOMA communication configuration file
To connect the FOMA terminal to your PC via FOMA USB Cable with Charge Function 02 for a data
communication, download and installation of the FOMA communication configuration file from the
DOCOMO website is required (nP. 6 to P. 9).
If installation fails and [FOMA SH03E] is not listed in the screens of step 3 of "Confirming installed FOMA
communication configuration file (Driver)" on P. 8, uninstall the FOMA communication configuration file (nP. 8) and
install it again.
If, for some reason, the PC is unable to recognize the FOMA terminal, uninstall the FOMA communication
configuration file (nP. 8) and install it again.
