Introduction This manual details the programming features of the Surveyor99. It is intended to be used in conjunction with XX002, Surveyor99 Installation and Operation manual. Programming is performed with a keypad input device using a simple on-screen menu system. Software Features Most of the Surveyor99 features are accessed remotely through either a System Console (V1400X-DVC), Keypad (V1300X-RVC rack mount or V1300X-DVC desktop) or a PC using a ProTech software/hardware package (V1400X-PACP PacPro). To program certain features, a numeric preset is either stored or recalled. Preset functions can represent a variety of features. - Page 8 Preset 94 (Enter Dome Menu System) — Many Surveyor99 features are accessed through a series of on- screen menus. These are described in the following programming menu sections and accessed by storing preset 94. A Menu Flow Chart is included at the back of this manual. Recalling preset 94 has no effect. Programming Menus V5UVS PROGRAM MENU The Main Programming Menu is the first one seen when entering programming Pan/Tilt Controller mode (store preset 94). Subsequent menus, called sub-menus are accessible Camera Controller from this point. When in programming mode, a function is entered by pressing the Alarm Handling AP (autopan) key. -

PAN/TILT CONTROLLER These menu settings do not affect the camera speed when acquiring a preset target. Presets are solved at the fastest possible speed regardless of the maximum manual speed selected. Default setting for pan speed is 120° per Max. Manual Pan Speed second, while tilt speed is 90°... - Page 11 CAMERA CONTROLLER Peak Iris Level CAMERA CONTROLLER Focus Mode allows the autofocus feature to be toggled on or off (default is on). NTSC However, the most practical way to disable autofocus is to press either of the Focus buttons on the keyboard. This will temporarily disable focus until the camera Focus Mode is zoomed in or out again.
- Page 12 BACKLIGHT COMPENSATION The Backlight Compensation menu allows adjustment of this setting. Backlight NTSC compensation improves the contrast of a silhouetted image when it is overshadowed by a lighting source coming from behind it. This includes cameras in windowed rooms such as lobby areas, where intense sunlight coming through BLC Mode: ENABLED BLC Tuning Value the window renders features on a silhouetted person unrecognizable.
- Page 13 WHITE BALANCE The White Balance allows the user to override the automatic color correction NTSC circuitry in the Surveyor99. To adjust the red and blue gain, white balance mode must first be changed to Manual (default is automatic). CAMERA CONTROLLER The Digital Zoom Mode screen allows the digital zoom feature on the Surveyor99 NTSC to be disabled (default setting is enabled). When the Zoom In button is held, the lens magnifies the image to the limit of the 16:1 optical zoom. Releasing the button Digital Zoom Mode and tapping it will enable digital magnification of the image, with each tap ENABLED... - Page 15 ALARM INPUT CONTROLLER The Acknowledge Mode menu determines whether an alarm is acknowledged ACKNOWLEDGE MODE manually by the operator or automatically after a predetermined period of time (up INPUT MODE to 60 seconds). The Preset Titles, Sector Titles, and Alarm Titles options are programmed in a similar manner.
