5. Remove four M2x3 black screws securing the bracket to the FDD and slip off the
bracket (Figure 4-18).
Installing the Floppy Disk Drive
To install the floppy disk drive, follow the steps below and refer to Figures 4-17 and 4-18.
1. Secure the bracket with four M2x3 black screws in the numbered order: 1 to 4
(Figure 4-18). Tighten the screws to a torque of less than 2.2 kgfcm.
2. Place the FDD assembly in the computer, lining up the pins on the bottom cover
with the guide holes in the FDD bracket.
3. Connect the FDD cable to PJ4 on system board (Figure 4-17).
4. Secure the FDD bracket with three M2.5x6 screws (Figure 4-17).
5. Install the FDD front cover on the bottom cover (Figure 4-17).
6. Install the top cover and display assembly, hard disk drive, keyboard, optional
memory module, optional PCMCIA card and battery pack as described in Sections
4.7 back through 4.2.
