4.5 Keyboard
Removing the Keyboard
To remove the keyboard, follow the steps below and refer to Figures 4-10 and 4-11.
1. Turn off the power to the computer, then disconnect the AC power cord and all
external cables connected to the computer.
2. Remove the battery pack, optional PCMCIA card, and optional memory module as
described in Sections 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4.
3. Lift the palm rest and release the five latches on the keyboard brace. Lift the
front of the keyboard and remove the brace. Be careful not to damage the
AccuPoint cable.
