3.20 Floppy Disk Drive Utilities
3.20.1 Program Description
The FDD Utilities program formats the FDD, copies the floppy disk and displays the dump
list for both the FDD and HDD.

FORMAT
·ICAUTION: This program is only/or testing afloppy disk drive. The

Iprogram is different than the MS-DOS FORMAT command.
This program can format a 5.25 or 3.5 inch floppy disk in the following fonnats:
(1) 2D: Double-sided, double-density, 48/67.5 TPI, MFM mode, 512 bytes, 9
sectors/track.
(2) 2DD: Double-sided, double-density, double-track, 96/135 TPI, MFM mode,
512 bytes, 9 sectors/track.
(3) 2HD: Double-sided, high-density, double-track, 96/135 TPI, MFM mode,
512 bytes, 18 sectors/track.
2. COpy
This program copies from a source floppy disk to a target floppy disk.
3. DUMP
This program displays the contents of the floppy disks and the designated sectors
of the hard disk on the display.
3.20.2 Operations
1. Selecting 7 from the Diagnostic Menu and pressing Enter, displays the
foHowing message:
