Assembling the Central Processing Unit
To install the CPU in the T4400SXC follow these steps:
1. Make sure the lever on the CPU socket is fully extended as shown in figure 4-
10.
2.
Align the CPU with the CPU socket. Note, the small circle (0) on the right
front corner of the CPU and the small yellow circle (E) on the system board.

socket as shown in figure 4-11.
CA UTION: Misalignment of the number 1 pin will cause the system to fail and will
probably damage the CPU.

Lower the lever on the CPU socket and latch it under the clip on the side of the
socket.
