Slacken screw 1.

Turn foot piece 2 into desired
position.
Threaded fasteners not
tightened to the specified
torque can work loose or their
threads can suffer damage.
Always have the tightening
torques checked by a specialized
workshop, preferably an
authorized BMW Motorrad
retailer.
Tighten screw 1 with specified
torque.
Eccentric of foot piece
on brake pedal
Thread-locking compound:
Micro-encapsulated
6 lb/ft (8 Nm)
To set the factory setting: align
foot piece on marking 3.

Move mirror into desired posi-
tion by applying light pressure
at edge.

Handlebars

Adjusting handlebars
The work on the clutch
lever fitting and the left-
hand handlebar half described in
the following basically also ap-
plies to the handbrake fitting and
the right-hand handlebar half.
