Tighten screw 1 with specified
torque.
Eccentric foot piece on
shift lever
Thread-locking compound:
Micro-encapsulated
6 lb/ft (8 Nm)
To set the factory setting: align
foot piece on marking 3.

Brakes

Adjusting handbrake lever
Changing the position of
the brake-fluid reservoir can
allow air to penetrate the brake
system.
Do not reposition the handlebar
controls on the handlebars or the
handlebars in their mounts.
Adjusting the brake lever
while driving can lead to
accidents.
Only adjust the brake lever when
the motorcycle is stationary.
Turn adjusting screw 1 clock-
wise.
The adjusting screw has
a limit position and can
be turned more easily when
you press the handbrake lever
forward.
Distance between handlebar
grip and handbrake lever in-
creases.
Turn adjusting screw 1 coun-
terclockwise.
Distance between handlebar
grip and handbrake lever de-
creases.
