This section describes how to remove a hard disk drive
from your mass storage system. The hard disk drive in slot
1 must be removed and reinstalled into slot 2 if you are
upgrading your mass storage system with a SCSI device
that requires access for inserting and removing media.
This removal procedure is written for personal computer
dealers, technicians, and others who are familiar with
setting up mass storage devices. If you are not experienced
with such tasks, please find an experienced person to help
you or contact your local HP Sales and Support Office for
service.
After a hard disk drive is removed from the mass storage
system, the mass storage system must be carefully
reassembled to ensure compliance with RFI emission
requirements and to provide adequate protection against
electrical shock and fire hazards.
