CD-ROM Drive
This chapter provides information about operating the
CD-ROM drive (option 004) within your HP Series 6000
Models 330S and 660S Mass Storage Systems. This chapter
also describes how to install a CD-ROM drive, which is
included in the C2293A upgrade kit (refer to "Installing the
CD-ROM Drive Upgrade Kit" in this chapter).
The CD-ROM drive is a random access read-only mass
storage device that uses removable CD-ROM disks. The
CD-ROM drive contains a semiconductor laser for reading
data optically, and includes an embedded controller with a
single-ended SCSI interface.
