Make sure the mirror is clean:

1. Turn the printer off.
2. Open the ADF front cover.
3. Lift the flap as shown.
Is the mirror clean?
Remove the ADF motor side cover. See
2

page 4-221.
Is the ADF exit sensor cable (A) connected
correctly?
Replace the ADF exit sensor. See
3
sensor (with cable) removal" on
page 4-243.
Did the error clear?
Yes
Go to step 2.

free cloth with water, and
clean the mirror.
Reseat the cable in
connector.
