Port Mirroring

Port mirroring is a method for monitoring traffic in switched networks. Traffic through
ports can be monitored by one specific port, which means traffic going in or out of a
monitored (source) ports will be duplicated into a mirrored (destination) port.
Destination Port: One port can be selected as the destination (mirror) port for
monitoring both RX and TX traffic from a single source port. Or, use one port for
monitoring RX traffic only and another port for TX traffic only. The user can connect
the mirrored port to a LAN analyzer or Netxray.
Source Port: The ports that user wants to monitor. All monitored port traffic will be
copied to mirrored (destination) port. The user can select multiple source ports by
checking the RX or TX check boxes to be monitored.
