Figure 5-3. Format memory card screens (D300)
Here are the steps for formatting a memory card. See
Figure 5-2
(D300S) or
an extra step:
1. Select
Format memory card
2. There's a difference between the two cameras so I'll list
the steps for each.
▪ D300S: On the D300S, you'll see a second screen
that asks you to select the card you want to format.
You'll have a choice of
slots. Choose the one you want to format and scroll
to the right. You'll need to repeat this action to
format the second slot.
▪ D300: Since the D300 only has one CF card, the
middle screen in
you'll see the two screens shown in
Ignore this step and go directly to # 3.
3. Select
Yes
exclamation point and the warning that reads All images
or pictures will be deleted. OK?
4. Press the
