E-Mail Alert Program Installation

Configuring Alarm and E-Mail Notification Over TCP/IP

Rev 1.00
This appendix describes the Honeywell E-Mail Net monitoring utility used for alarm and
e-mail notification over TCP/IP.
The HRDV can be configured to forward up to 12 different alarm conditions via TCP/IP to
a remote monitoring program and to notify up to five e-mail addresses. When the HRDV
detects a notification condition defined by a user, the condition is forwarded over TCP/IP
network to the monitoring utility provided by Honeywell. The monitoring utility interfaces
with the customer's e-mail system to notify of these conditions (up to five different e-mail
addresses). The HRDV will also log the messages in a log file. You can also attach an
image of the event from a camera, provided this feature is enabled.
Requirements:
The HRDV unit:
Must have an Ethernet PCMCIA card installed
Be enabled for remote access via Ethernet (see
Ethernet)
Be connected to a network
The customer must have a PC with an e-mail service installed.
The Honeywell monitoring (E-Mail Alert) program must be installed on a customer's
networked PC.
The subsection that follows describes how to configure the HRDV for alarm and e-mail
notification over Ethernet. To install and configure the E-Mail Alert program, see
the E-Mail Alert
