Audio
There is a single digital channel of audio, both in and out. The audio out connects to
an amplifier.
Both audio in and audio out use a standard RCA connector.
Text Insertion Ports
There are four Text Insertion ports suitable for any Asynchronous ATM/POS Interface
(ATMs, cash registers, a door card reader access system).
A single DB25 male connector supports RS485 and RS232.
Inputs can be set to display up to 40 characters per line and up to 10 lines per camera
on your output. After text has been recorded with the video image, you can use the
search function to search for specific text.
PC Remote Access Port
The PCMCIA remote access port can be used for a PCMCIA modem or Ethernet card.
This port is used, together with the HRDV16/8 Remote Access Software, to control your
HRDV unit from a PC. Remote connection allows you to collect data for analysis or to
access the HRDV16/8 video monitoring, video playback, alarm reset, and Program mode
from a remote site. All remote access to the HRDV16/8 is protected by password security.
Hard Drives
The HRDV16/8 supports up to four internal IDE or SCSI hard drives, one of which can
be removable.
The HRDV16/8 supports one removable hard drive or compatible SCSI drive with
removable media in the front loading drive.
Connect a 68-pin SCSI-2 connector for up to three external SCSI drive or SCSI RAID
device.
Alarm Input/Output
The HRDV16 has 16 alarm inputs and four alarm outputs. The HRDV8 has 8 alarm inputs
and four alarm outputs.
