Turning On the HRDV the First Time

Rebooting (Restarting) the HRDV

Unpack the HRDV and place it on a flat surface.
2.
Attach the AC power cord to the HRDV rear panel (see

Observe the LCD display on the HRDV front panel. The message Power up displays

alternately between the top and bottom of the LCD screen for approximately 60
seconds.

The time and date displays indicating the HRDV is ready for operation. You can now
attach a monitor.
There is no on/off switch on the HRDV. To restart it:
1.
Disconnect the power cable from either the HRDV or from the wall socket.
2.
Wait 15 seconds, then re-connect the power cable to apply power to the HRDV.
This wait allows any stored capacitance to discharge clearing memory for proper
operation.

Plug your monitor into an AC receptacle.
2.
Connect a BNC cable to the Video In jack on the monitor. Connect the other end of
the BNC cable to the Mon 1 jack on the HRDV rear panel (see

Turn on your monitor, then press the MENU button on the HRDV. The monitor
displays a Select a user login screen.
You are now ready to set the HRDV to factory defaults.
