Tone Dialing on a Rotary Pulse Line

Many information services for banks, airline reservations, hotel reservations, etc.,
require tone dialing for their services. If your machine is connected to a rotary
pulse line, follow this procedure to set the machine temporarily for tone dialing.

Special Dialing Features
To cancel sending after dialing has started, press [Stop/Reset]
NOTE
To take advantage of the speed dialing features of your machine, register
frequently used overseas numbers for one-touch or coded speed dialing.
(See "One-Touch Speed Dialing," on p. 2-3 or "Coded Speed Dialing,"
on p. 2-8.)
Press [FAX] to set the machine to the Fax mode.

Pick up the handset of your telephone.
Enter a destination using the numeric keys on your
telephone, a one-touch speed dialing key, a speed dialing
code, [Redial/Pause], or the numeric keys on the machine.
When the recorded message of the information service
answers, press [A] (Tone) to switch to tone dialing.

When [A] (Tone) is pressed, <T> is displayed on the LCD display.
If your telephone line uses tone dialing, proceed to the next step.
