Tone Dialing on a Pulse Line

Many telephone information services for banks, airline reservations, hotel reservations, etc.,
require tone dialing for their services. If your machine is connected to a rotary pulse line, follow
this procedure to temporarily set the machine for tone dialing.

(Hook).
Pick up the handset if you have installed the optional handset kit. (See Chapter
1, "Before You Start Using This Machine," in the Reference Guide.)

The In Use/Memory lamp flashes green, and you should hear the dial tone.
NOTE
• The volume of the dial tone can be adjusted. (See Chapter 1, "Before You Start Using
This Machine," in the Reference Guide.)
Dial the telephone number of the information service using the
numeric keys.

123 4567
When the recorded message of the information service answers,
open all three one-touch speed dialing panels
TEL=
123 4567
After pressing [Tone], a <T> appears on the LCD display.
press [Tone].
