Materials reported as passing ASTM E 136, Standard
Test Method for Behavior of Metals, in a Vertical Tube
Furnace at 750° C.
Non-Combustible Sealant Material
-
Sealants which will not ignite and burn:
-
Rutland, Inc. Fireplace Mortar #63,
-
Rutland 76R,
-
Nufl ex 304,
-
GE RTV106 or GE RTB116 (or equivalent).
I. Combustible Materials
Materials made of or surfaced with any of the following
materials:
-
Wood
-
Plant fi bers
-
Plastic
-
Compressed paper
Any material that can ignite and burn; fl ame proofed or
not, plastered or un-plastered
WARNING! Risk of Fire! You must maintain
clearances.
Do NOT cover metal fi replace front with combustible
materials.
Install combustible materials only to specifi ed clearances
on top front, sides and back edges.
