External storage and
its configuration
Outside cabinet:
External RAID device
Redundancy procedure
Redundancy is possible with a single volume alone
because the hardware RAID configuration is
created with an external RAID device.
Also, redundancy of the access path is made
possible by using a multipath configuration.
Furthermore, redundancy is made possible by
creating a software mirroring configuration using
volumes in multiple RAID cabinets (using
PRIMECLUSTER GDS). If a problem occurs with
one cabinet, the system can continue running with
the other cabinet.
