The standby flash ROM currently not in use by the system can be accessed from the BMC SPI bus to update
firmware.
2.5.2

USB

This section describes the USB system of the PRIMEQUEST 1000 series.
The following figure shows a USB system diagram.

The ICH mounted on each SB has four external ports, one internal port, two BMC ports (for video redirection and
remote storage), and one DVDB port.
The DVDB provides a function enabling the individual SBs to share the DVD drive.
The DVDB is connected to the internal USB interface signal of each SB and selects a valid signal using a 4:1
multiplexer. The selected USB signal is connected from the USB to the DVD drive via the SATA converter chip.

VGA

The BMC on each SB has an integrated VGA function. Signals are output directly to the external VGA port of the
SB. In a partition configured with multiple SBs, VGA signals are output only from the Home SB.
