Using the stepping button

See fig. 010406020.
When pushing, the assistant can make use of one of the stepping buttons (left or right)
to be able to easily take such obstacles as curbs and doorsteps.
Step on one of the stepping buttons and pull the wheelchair slightly backward, so that
the swivel castors are free in the air.
Push the wheelchair onto the elevation and release the stepping button.
Push the wheelchair further and lift the back wheels across the obstacle by lifting the
pushing bracket.
Always descend from a sidewalk back to front, so that the
wheelchair cannot tip over and make the user fall out of the chair.

Reducing the Ibis

The Ibis can be reduced as follows:
By removing the seat (A). See 'Removing the seat'.
By folding down the backrest (B). See 'Folding down the backrest'.
By taking down the arm-rests (C). See 'Taking down an arm-rest'.
